High riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Thor motor coach. On certain motorhomes, the auxiliary generator exhaust system may be routed too close to the onboard propane storage tank, and terminate at the edge of the vehicle under a slide-out room. This could cause the propane inside the tank to become heated, increasing the pressure and causing venting of the safety valve, which could increase the risk of a fire. Also, the exhaust could enter the vehicle, creating a risk of axphyxiation. These issues could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install an updated exhaust pipe with a revised routing. Published 2017-01-16.
