An official Health Canada notice concerns Suzuki. On certain motorcycles, the brake light actuating switch (operated by the handlebar-mounted brake lever) may fail. Failure of the brake lamps to illuminate when the brakes are applied may result in the following road users being unaware of the rider’s intentions, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the front brake switch with an updated version. Published 2012-02-06.

The hazard
