Critical riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Suzuki. On certain motorcycles and all-terrain-vehicles, the generator stator may have insufficient heat resistance, which could lead to a short circuit of the stator wires. If this occurs, the generator could generate insufficient power to charge the battery, which could result in the engine stalling and not being able to restarted. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : Dealers will replace the generator stator with an improved part. Published 2017-07-07.
