Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled sledgehammers and contact Stanley Black & Decker for a refund. To obtain a refund, consumers should register on the firm’s recall website (found below), upload a photo of their hammer with "Recalled" written on the handle with permanent marker, and affirm the hammer will be disposed of. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Stanley Black & Decker Canada Corporation. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
