An official Health Canada notice concerns Spartan. On certain fire trucks, the instrument panel warning lamp may not illuminate to alert the vehicle operator of a malfunction in the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Should this occur, the operator, unaware of an SRS problem, may not take appropriate precautions and have it corrected. As a result, the airbags may not deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted), which could increase the risk of personal injuries to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will correct the warning lamp wiring. Published 2011-08-17.
