An official Health Canada notice concerns Signel services. On certain trailers, a lack of penetration in the welds could generate uneven load distribution of the welds connecting the hitch to the frame. Cracks at the main frame could occur when the trailers are subjected to rough road conditions. A towed unit separating from the towing vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Signel will reinforce the hitch frame assembly. Published 2011-03-03.
