An official Health Canada notice concerns Scubapro monorail weight pockets recalled. The D-ring handle that is used to unlock the weight pocket from the Buoyancy Compensator Device (BCD) can detach during use. If this happens, the user will not be able to remove the weight pockets in an emergency to rise to the surface, posing a drowning hazard. As of March 20, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 2 reports of incidents and no reports of injuries.
