An official Health Canada notice concerns Roller shade by starlight shutter recalled. Health Canada has determined that the recalled products do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a strangulation hazard. Young children may pull looped cords around their neck, or become entangled in the cords, causing a strangulation hazard and even death. Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Roller Shade and contact Starlight Shutter Inc., to obtain a replacement or repair kit. For more information, consumers can contact Starlight Shutter Inc., by telephone at 647-300-0619, Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 5:00pm EST, by email at clarence@starlightshutter.com or visit the company website www.starlightshutter.com. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
