An official Health Canada notice concerns RAM - Fiat chrysler automobiles. On certain vehicles equipped with Occupant Restraint Controllers (“ORC”) with roll rate sensing, under certain external conditions, a fault may be set relating to rollover sensing that will illuminate the airbag warning light and disable rollover sensing until the vehicle is restarted. A loss of airbags and seatbelt pretensioner deployment when warranted during a rollover crash may increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the ORC.
