An official Health Canada notice concerns Q’straint qrt-deluxe and q’straint qrt-max retractors recalled. A retractor may not lock properly. An unlocked retractor will not properly secure a wheelchair and place the passenger at a risk of serious injury or death during normal vehicle travel, emergency maneuvers, or a crash. As of November 10, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. Published 2025-11-13.
What to do now
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Q’Straint QRT-DELUXE and Q’Straint QRT-MAX retractors and contact the Q’Straint Customer Service Team to arrange for a free replacement. For more information, consumers can contact Q’Straint Customer Service Team by telephone at 1-800-987-9987, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday, or by email at cs@qstraint.sure-lok.com Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
