An official Health Canada notice concerns Porsche. Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the transmission shift cable may have been damaged during production. As a result, the transmission may not lock when shifted when shifted to the park (P) position. If this happens, and the parking brake isn't applied, the vehicle could move suddenly. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to replace the shift cable. To reduce the safety risk, Porsche recommends that you should apply the parking brake when parking the vehicle. Published 2024-05-23.
