An official Health Canada notice concerns Polaris. Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the alternator may have been manufactured incorrectly. As a result, a part inside the alternator could crack and separate while the engine is running. Safety Risk: Alternator parts that break or separate can create a fire risk or a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Polaris will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the alternator. Published 2023-03-03.
