High riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Polaris. Certain side-by-side UTV’s were manufactured with insufficient shielding between the engine exhaust and the rearmost seat close-off panel. During prolonged vehicle operation at low speeds the air flow in the engine/exhaust area could be reduced, and may result in elevated engine/exhaust compartment temperatures, which could cause the seat close-off panel to overheat which may pose a fire hazard causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install and heat shield service kit. Note: In the interim, owners are advised to stop riding their UTV until the defect has been repaired. Published 2016-07-05.
