An official Health Canada notice concerns Polaris. Certain side-by-side UTV’s were manufactured with insufficient cargo box bracket fasteners which could become loose or dislodged. If this occurs, the bracket could move, allowing exhaust heat to overheat the seat close-off panel. This could result in a fire, potentially causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install an improved cargo box close-off bracket (close-off panel heat shield kit). Note: In the interim, owners are advised to stop riding their UTV until the defect has been repaired. Published 2016-09-20.
