Medium riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Polaris. On certain ATV's, over time, exhaust temperatures and vibration can degrade the steel exhaust header pipe. This could result in a crack or hole to form in the pipe, which could allow for hot exhaust gases to escape and melt surrounding plastic components, which could increase the risk of injury and/or cause property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the existing low-carbon steel exhaust pipes with stainless steel pipes. Note: In the interim, owners are advised to stop riding their ATV until the defect has been repaired. Published 2017-10-24.
