An official Health Canada notice concerns Pierce - Oshkosh corporation. Issue: On certain fire trucks, the mounting brackets for the rescue basket on the aerial platform were not welded correctly. As a result, the mounting brackets could break and the rescue basket could detach from the platform. Safety Risk: A rescue basket that detaches from an aerial platform could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Pierce will notify owners by mail and provide you with new stokes basket mounting brackets and instructions for installing them. Published 2022-11-17.
