An official Health Canada notice concerns Nova bus. Issue: On a small number of LFS electric buses, the coolant hose connections inside the high-voltage battery pack may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, coolant can leak inside the battery pack and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit in the high-voltage battery could create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners in writing and arrange for the high-voltage battery pack supplier (Akasol) to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the battery packs.
