An official Health Canada notice concerns New flyer. On certain buses, a tie rod end retaining clamp from the center link tube assembly on the front axle may have not have been torqued to specification during front end alignment adjustment by the vehicle manufacturer. This could result in the tie rod end separating, which could result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the retaining clamp for proper torque. If any wear or movement of the cross link assembly is evident, the damaged components will be replaced. Published 2015-09-08.
