An official Health Canada notice concerns Navistar. Issue: On a small number of trucks, the bolts for the battery box could be missing or may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the battery box could separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A battery box that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to tighten the bolts for the battery box.
