Medium riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Navistar. On certain vehicles equipped with the battery box mounted between the frame rails, the battery mounted cube fuse terminal connection could potentially break. A broken cube fuse terminal connection could cause the cab to lose all power which would result in a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the cube fuse with a chassis mounted power distribution module (PDM) inside the battery box. Published 2016-11-02.
