An official Health Canada notice concerns Metzeler - Pirelli. Issue: Under certain conditions, the tire(s) could wear irregularly. As a result, the belts could become damaged over time, and the tread could separate. If this happens, the tire could fail. Note: This recall affects the following motorcycle tires: - Metzeler Tourance Next 150/70R18 70V with the date codes 4816 to 2424. - Metzeler Tourance Next II 150/70R18 70V with the date codes 3521 to 2624. - Metzeler Tourance Next II 150/70ZR18 70W with the date codes 3522 to 3524. - Pirelli Scorpion Trail II 150/70R18 70V with the date codes 0117 to 4024. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Pirelli advises that you should inspect your tires for damage or irregular wear before riding your motorcycle. Pirelli will notify registered owners by mail to advise you of this problem and provide you with instructions for inspecting the tires. You should contact an authorized Pirelli/Metzeler dealer if you have tires manufactured within these date ranges or if you need help inspecting them. All tires affected by this recall will be replaced. Published 2025-01-06.
