An official Health Canada notice concerns Mercedes-benz. Issue: On certain vehicles, the battery management system (BMS) may not warn the driver if there is a problem with the monitoring system for the high-voltage battery. Safety Risk: A battery monitoring system that doesn't warn of a problem with a high-voltage battery could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the battery management system software. Published 2024-09-18.
