An official Health Canada notice concerns Lucid motors, inc.. Issue: On certain vehicles, the inverter power module could fail. If this happens, the drive motor could shut down without warning and cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lucid will notify owners by mail and provide instructions for how to install a software update. If you need assistance with this update, you should contact Lucid Customer Care or a Lucid service center. The software update will prevent the drive motor from shutting down without warning if the inverter power module fails. There is no further action needed if your vehicle has software version 2.0.66 or a later release. Published 2023-08-04.
