An official Health Canada notice concerns Lexus - Toyota. Issue: on certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the transmission and/or transmission housing to become damaged. As a result, there could be a loss of power to the wheels and/or transmission fluid could leak. Safety risk: a loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A transmission fluid leak could create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: lexus will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the transmission electronic control unit software. Published 2026-02-25.
