An official Health Canada notice concerns Ktm. Issue: on certain motorcycles, the side stand spring could break. If this happens, the side stand could fall or open suddenly while riding and cause the engine to stall. Safety risk: a sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: ktm will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to install a new side stand spring and sensor plate. Published 2025-12-29.
