Medium riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Keystone. On certain travel trailers, the Federal Certification label and the Tire and Loading Information label do not contain the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), tire size, load range information, rim dimensions and inflation pressure. The labels incorrectly indicate a GAWR of 1,588 kg (3,500 lbs) instead of 1,996 kg (4,400 lbs), a GVWR of 3,447 kg (7,600 lbs) instead of 3629 kg (8,000 lbs), ST205/75R14C tires instead of ST225/75R15D, 14X6 rims instead of 15X6 and an inflation pressure of 345 kPa (50 psi) instead of 448 kPa (65 psi). This incorrect information could result in underinflated tires, causing poor vehicle handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation. Published 2012-10-01.
