Medium riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Keystone. Certain travel trailers may not comply with Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations. The certification label may not contain the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), tire size and tire pressre information. The label incorrectly indicates a GAWR of 5,080 lbs (2,304 kg), while it should instead show the GAWR as 5,200 (2359 kg). Additionally, the label also incorrectly lists the tire size as ST225/75R15D and tire pressure of 65 PSI, while it should instead show the tire size as ST225/75R15E and tire pressure of 80 PSI. If an owner were to rely on the incorrect values, it could result in premature tire failure, cause poor towing/driving characteristics, both of which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will apply a revised certification label with the correct values. Published 2018-10-09.
