Medium riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Kalmar. On certain vehicles, the air tank mounted pressure sensors may not be consistently accurate. This could cause inaccurate brake system air pressure values to be displayed by the dash gauge. If this occurs, the operator would not have correct information regarding the brake system air pressure, increasing risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. This could also result in activation of the low air warning and the setting of the spring brakes at a dash gauge reading higher than expected. Correction: Dealers will replace the air pressure sensors with accurate sensors. Published 2017-10-27.
