An official Health Canada notice concerns Hyundai. Issue: On certain vehicles, the clutch ignition lock switch could fail. As a result, you may be able to start the vehicle when the clutch pedal is not depressed. This could cause the vehicle to move suddenly. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a manual transmission. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the clutch ignition lock switch. Published 2024-08-06.
