An official Health Canada notice concerns Hyundai. Issue: Hyundai is conducting a special service campaign to upgrade the safety plug fuse. On certain Sonata Hybrid (HEV) models, the safety plug fuse in the power relay assembly could blow and cause a sudden loss of hybrid system power. Safety Risk: A loss of hybrid system power may increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the 125-A safety plug with one that has a 150-A rating. Published 2024-04-26.
