An official Health Canada notice concerns Hyundai. On certain vehicles, The Occupant Detection System may have been incorrectly programmed. In cold ambient temperatures, the system may fail to deactivate the front passenger airbag when an child restraint seat occupies the front passenger seat and also illuminate the airbag warning lamp in the instrument cluster. This could result in injury. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the SRS Occupant Detection System. Published 2015-04-22.
