An official Health Canada notice concerns High flow insufflation tubing (with filter). The unit package seal failed and it compromised sterility. Although one defect was detected in the field, no adverse events have occurred as a result of this incident. Inspection of inventory on-hand determined that there may be around 1% of this product (p/n 20400161S, lot #185198) with opened seals and if used could result in patient infections.
