An official Health Canada notice concerns Harley-davidson - Fred deeley. On certain motorcycles equipped (from the factory) with a security system, as well as others having had the security system installed as an after-sale accessory, the Body Control Module (BCM) case may not have been properly sealed during the manufacturing process. An improper seal could allow water intrusion into the BCM, which may cause the engine to stall. Loss of propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the Body Control Module. Published 2011-11-08.

The hazard
