An official Health Canada notice concerns Glaval. On certain buses equipped with a Ricon platform wheelchair lift, depending on the installation location, the handheld pendant control wiring protective cover could contact the hydraulic pump power lug. As the protective cover is conductive, this would result in a high current short-circuit and cause a fire, possibly resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners will be provided with a supplemental cover kit and a non-conductive cover for the control wiring. Published 2012-12-11.
