An official Health Canada notice concerns Freightliner - Daimler truck north america. On certain vehicles with turn signals configured to act as Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), the DRL may not reactivate following turn signal operation. A loss of DRL illumination could render the vehicle less visible to other motorists and to pedestrians during daylight hours, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will reprogram vehicles with updated software. Published 2013-05-06.
