An official Health Canada notice concerns Freightliner - Daimler truck north america. On certain vehicles, the required check valve may not have been installed in one of the ports of the spring brake modulation valve. In the event of a rapid loss of air pressure in the secondary system, the missing check valve could cause a similar rapid loss of pressure in the primary system, which may lead to a sudden application of the parking brakes. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will inspect and the check valve will be installed if needed. Published 2017-06-30.
