An official Health Canada notice concerns Freightliner - Daimler truck north america. On certain vehicles equipped with certain automatic transmissions, an internal shift lock bolt on the transmission may seize and prevent the transmission to shift out of gear range 7 through 12. This could lead to an unexpected engine stall without the ability to restart, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North America-authorized service facilities will inspect the suspect transmission shift bolt and replace if needed. Published 2018-01-17.
