An official Health Canada notice concerns Forest river. Certain motorhomes may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The module that controls the vehicle's tail lights, stop lights, signal lights, clearance lights and marker lights could potentially fail due to moisture intrusion into the housing of the module. This condition could affect the rear brake lights on the vehicle or on a towed object that is connected to the vehicle. Failure of brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will relocate the module to a water resistant location. Published 2020-06-23.
