Critical riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Forest river. On certain motorhomes where a residential refrigerator was installed in place of the standard refrigerator, the positive and negative leads from the battery which hook to the standard refrigerator were left with exposed wire ends. This could result in the energized wire and the negative wire to possibly make contact with each other, which could lead to melting of the wires' insulation, and increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will disconnect the energized and negative wires at the house battery. Published 2023-04-14.
