An official Health Canada notice concerns Ford. Issue: Ford Motor Company of Canada is conducting a parts recovery campaign targeting a random sample of 2015-2017 Ford Mustang vehicles in the Montreal area built between February 11, 2014 and October 2, 2017. The driver and front passenger seat belt assemblies are being recovered to aid in Ford's analysis in support of Transport Canada defect investigation file no. 3280-38-20. Note: This action is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Safety Risk: No safety defect has been identified with these seat belts. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify select owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to replace the driver and front passenger seat belts at no charge.
