High riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Fleetwood. Certain motorhomes may not have adequate clearance between the driver-side rear suspension leaf spring and the Liquid Propane (LP) tank. As the suspension travels the leaf spring shackle bolt may contact the LP tank, causing damage which could result in a propane gas leak. A propane gas leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or an explosion, which could cause property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Since Fleetwood Enterprises Inc (the manufacturer of these vehicles) is no longer in business, Fleetwood RV (a new company) is supplying vehicle owners with this courtesy notice. Owners are advised to have their vehicle inspected and repaired as soon as possible. Since Fleetwood RV did not manufacture these units, they will not assume financial responsibility for the repairs. However, they offer to provide the owner's preferred service facility with technical support, in the event they should require it. Fleetwood RV can be reached at 1-800-509-3418.
