An official Health Canada notice concerns Fiat chrysler automobiles. Issue: _x000D_ On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an FCA dealer during recall Z11 (Transport Canada recall no. 2022-063) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required. _x000D_ _x000D_ On certain vehicles, a problem inside the high-voltage battery assembly could cause a short circuit. _x000D_ Note: This recall only affects plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. _x000D_ _x000D_ Safety Risk: _x000D_ A short circuit can create the risk of a fire, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. _x000D_ _x000D_ Corrective Actions: _x000D_ To reduce the safety risk, FCA advises not to charge your vehicle and to park it outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs are completed. FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you take your vehicle to a dealership to update the high-voltage battery pack control module (BPCM) software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the battery pack assembly. Published 2024-07-24.
