An official Health Canada notice concerns Fiat chrysler automobiles. On certain Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300 all-wheel drive vehicles and RAM 1500 four wheel drive vehicles equipped with 8 speed automatic transmissions, the transmission output shaft could fail. If this were to occur while the vehicle is being driven, it could result in a loss of motive power. If this were to occur while the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied, it could result in unintended vehicle movement. Both situations could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the transmission in affected vehicles. Published 2013-12-12.
