Last checked

Critical riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns E-one - Emergency one. On certain fire trucks, the components that make up the 6" water intake strainer may have been improperly soldered during the manufacturing process. This could lead to degradation in pump performance which could reduce firefighting effectiveness, and potentially increase the risk of injury. Correction: Hale Products recommends an inspection be performed by pulling caps and any suction adapters off of the intake and check the strainer for faulty soldering. If the strainer is found to be missing solder at the joint, Hale Products will send a replacement strainer directly to affected owners. Published 2016-05-26.
