An official Health Canada notice concerns Disney baby water teethers recalled. Under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, teether fillings must not contain any living microorganisms. Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the liquid filling is contaminated with the fungus Rhinocladiella similis. The fungus is usually harmless, but may cause an infection in children if the teether is punctured and the liquid filling is ingested. As of January 14th 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. Published 2026-01-20.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Disney Baby Water Teethers and return the product to a Dollarama store for a refund. For more information, consumers can contact Dollarama directly through their stores, by telephone at 1-888-365-4266, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST), or visit the company website. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
