An official Health Canada notice concerns Certain ryobi 2300 psi 1.2gpm and 2700 psi 1.1gpm electric pressure washers recalled. In certain circumstances the pressure washers’ capacitor can overheat and burst, causing parts to be forcefully ejected, posing a potential risk of serious injury from impact to the user or bystanders. As of August 20, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 135 reports of incidents and 32 reports of injuries. What to do now
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact TTIOPE to receive a free repair kit. The repair kit consists of a replacement capacitor and installation instructions. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required. For more information, consumers can contact TTI Outdoor Power Equipment Inc. By toll free telephone at 800-597-9624, from 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. ET. Monday through Friday, or by visiting the company website at www.ryobitools.com/recall or www.ryobitools.com and click on Important Recall Information at the bottom of the page for more information. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and TTI Outdoor Power Equipment Inc. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
