An official Health Canada notice concerns Canada wide childrens gear - 5514km. Certain child car seats may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 - Child Restraint Systems. During testing, the seat structure surrounding the top tether strap failed, allowing the top tether to separate from the seat. As a result, in the event of a severe collision, the overall structure of the child seat could be affected and the child occupant may not remain properly secured, thereby increasing the risk of injury. Correction: All registered owners will receive instructions on how to obtain a replacement seat.
