An official Health Canada notice concerns Cadillac - General motors. On certain all-wheel-drive vehicles, a loss of grease from the centre constant velocity (CV) joint can over time result in vibrations of the propeller shaft and these vibrations could be transferred to the rollover sensor located on the floor above it. The signal produced by the vibrations in the rollover sensor may result in an unwarranted deployment of the curtain airbags creating a risk of injury to the occupants of the vehicle. Correction: Dealers are to replace the rear propeller shaft assembly. Published 2014-07-02.
