Critical riskHealth Canada

An official Health Canada notice concerns Bombardier recreational products. On certain vehicles, a situation may occur where the operator is required to exert a force greater than expected to initiate the turning of the steering handlebar of the vehicle in order to correct its trajectory. At this increased level of force, the handlebar may be turned more than intended. If this occurs, an operator may steer the vehicle out of the driving lane or off the roadway, increasing the risk of a crash, resulting in possible serious injury or death to operators or bystanders. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering gear box with an updated version. Published 2011-03-23.
