An official Health Canada notice concerns Bmw. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the recall repairs completed by a BMW Motorrad dealer during Transport Canada recall no. 2024-144 may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain motorcycles, the starter relay may not have been sealed properly. As a result, moisture could enter the relay and cause it to overheat and melt. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-144. Safety Risk: A starter relay that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners by mail to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the starter relay with an updated part. Published 2024-08-30.
